As part of its jet engine testing and production process, Rolls-Royce needs to maneuver engine assemblies around multiple build stands. Including low-height maneuvers where the reaction delays of the safety equipment are critical.
Limited space and headroom.
The following MotoSuiveur Solution was selected and configured for integration to the hoist:
Instant arrest.
Thanks to its fail-safe principle, the MotoSuiveur Unit instantly self-locks and absorbs the kinetic energy to safely arrest the load within 20 mm of load descent, this is up to 100x shorter compared with “Monitoring+Brakes” closed-loop systems. Moreover, overspeed is prevented in MotoSuiveur-Secured hoists, it cannot occur.
Smooth arrest.
Delicate loads are protected from abrupt decelerations. The kinetic energy to dissipate in order to fully arrest the load is several orders of magnitude lower thanks to the instant action of MotoSuiveur fail-safety.
Compact & low-headroom layout.
